DJ AM is “so lucky to be alive.”

The DJ sent the sentiment via text to Paris Hilton, who relayed the message during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show.

“All of the love and support means a lot to him. He’s such a good person,” said Hilton of her longtime friend, who barely escaped a deadly plane crash.

“I think God saved him.”

Hilton said that she hasn’t spoken to him or his fellow survivor, Travis Barker, over the phone yet, but that she and sister Nicky had exchanged texts with AM “the other day.”

AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein and who was once engaged to Nicole Richie, recounted to Hilton “how scary it was” as his Learjet burst into flames while trying to take off in Columbia, S.C.

“It’s so scary. I am so scared to go on small private planes now,” said Hilton, adding that she learned about the Sept. 19 crash as she was on a plane landing in Milan.

“I will never take that kind of plane again,” said Hilton.

that is so scary what happened to them!
and that is smart of paris not to fly in private jets anymore.
private jets are overrated. i have some really spoiled friends who have them and they’re not all they’re cracked up to be. sorryyyy.

I hope Paris didn’t really say those things.

Why didn’t her “god” also save the other poor unfortunate people at the same time? And why did her friends get burned so badly if “god” loved them and wanted to save them? It’s insulting to both logic and those who died or lost loved ones.

I love Paris and won’t hold it against her, but I just can’t stand it when anyone says idiotic things like this. The only “god” that could possibly exist would have to be a very cruel and malicious one and examples like this should be a wake up call rather than an added safety blanket.

we think she is so pretty girl..wish happyness for her

  5. lauren says:

everyone has their own religious beliefs, please respect that.

    • Django says:

And some people who have lost loved ones and not had their prayers answered may find such beliefs OFFENSIVE to them (but apparently such people DON’T get a say under your regime). Please respect THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

      I REPEAT:

WHY DIDN’T THIS “GOD” SAVE THE OTHERS ON THE PLANE?

  6. Nayth Hilton says:

    Django, chill out.
    She obviously beleives in fate.

Anyway.. I hope NOTHING like this EVER happens to Paris!
I really love her with all of my heart, and if anything happened, i’d have a mental break down.

I don’t want anything like this to happen to Paris either. She is important to me. She is the one who brought me comfort since my mother died. The “god” who supposedly “saves” people was nowhere in sight when my mother was suffering from cancer. This isn’t about me, however. Other people died in that accident (just as others die or suffer in the multitudes on a daily basis). How would you feel if your loved one was among those on the plane that “god” didn’t “save”? That’s all I’m saying.

I’m sure that Paris didn’t mean to offend anyone and I know she isn’t a bad person, but suggesting that “god” loves one or two people enough to save but not others could be a hurtful thing for those who have lost people to tragedy. That’s all that I was hoping that Paris and others could learn from in their beliefs. It isn’t easy for me to criticise Paris or find any fault with her, but this is a strong issue for me and I felt it worth speaking my mind, knowing that it wouldn’t be popular. Noone else can tell me how to feel.

Anyway, I’m done. I still like and support Paris in almost everything else she does or says and I will still continue to be a fan in my own way, supporting her products and wishing her good health, happiness and success. I’ll still care about her, seek comfort in her work and I’ll still hate those who attack her or wish harm on her. But I think she is wrong on this point and I won’t be lectured to by those who think religion trumps all other matters and should be respected even when it insults intelligence.

The fact that people can still believe in a caring god that allows so much suffering and ignores so many prayers makes me sick to my stomach. But don’t worry, you won’t hear from the evil uncaring Django again!

  7. Morgan says:

I love her too, and Django, I’m an atheist now, so I partially agree with you. I must say that Paris isn’t that much of an emotional priority…my friend Stacie is, because I love her very much.

  8. Nayth Hilton says:

    Well, I don’t care tbh..
I’m no religion, although I do like to practise Buddhism, just like Paris does!

I’m just really glad that it wasn’t Paris in that plane crash, as it may well have been, due to the number of planes she takes.

  9. Sabrinia says:

I’m Christian but not the most religious person out there. I do believe though that like Paris God saved him. He could have so easily died. It’s horrible what happened.

  10. Dawn says:

Being a Catholic like Paris, my guess is she just meant that everyone is in God’s hands.
The people who die are in a happier place now and the people who survived are also part of God’s plan.
From an eternal perspective, it all works out in the end to everyone’s greatest happiness.

But yes, it’s very dificult for the people who have to cope with the loss of a loved one.
