Okay to all the paris fans who say this isnt fair. why not? Paris did break the law right? are you saying she should go free cause shes a rich famous celeb? I dont think thats right. Paris is not above the law even though it seems she thinks so.
No one says a rich person should get special treatment. On the other hand, Paris should not get penalized for being rich either.
And it seems she does get targeted unfairly quite often.
Note that Paris was not charged with drunk driving in the first place. She had a 0.08 alcohol level which is right at the legal limit. Paris pled “no contest” to reckless driving which is a lesser offense an often used to avoid further hassle.
Apparently, she was told that after 30 days she could drive on a suspended license if it was for work related purposes.
Driving out of a well-lit parking garage and forgetting to turn the lights on DOES happen to people. It was an error and people do make mistakes when driving.
This whole situation seems to be blown way out of proportion because it’s Paris Hilton.
No one is trying to make excuses for Paris. But in her case, circumstances do seem to combine against her sometimes which are beyond her control. I actually feel bad for Paris, starting with that stupid tape her old BF published.
