During a shopping trip with her brother Conrad and mother Kathy in Bel Air on Thursday, Paris made no attempt to hide the bling on her hand, leading many to speculate that she and boyfriend Benji Madden are preparing to take a walk down the aisle.
However, it looks like this might all be wishful thinking. When reached for comment, a rep for Paris told OK! that any rumors of an impending wedding between the lovebirds are “false.”

Hmm…I wouldn’t mind if they were engaged (as long as he’s treating her right which he seems to be). It may seem sudden to some people but sometimes you just know when it’s “right” and when you’re with the right person. It’s not like there’s some time limit on how long you have to be dating someone before you can get engaged. As long as she’s happy then I’m happy for her and Benji seems to be doing a great job of making her happy
I guess we’ll see whether this rumor is true or not.

Wouldn’t this be her third or fourth engagement? Wouldn’t this be his second engagement THIS year? I would think that both of them would want to put some time and thought in to a relationship b/f either got engaged again.
Her parents and Benji keep bringing the marriage stuff up in the media though.

I think Benji is just getting a little too crazy in a chauvinistic way. He constantly wants to make her “his wife” and shit. Paris seems to be getting pressured, since she’s the only one that just wants to go slowly.

I doubt they’re engaged. It’s just the way they act is so over the top, kind of Tom Cruise jumping on the couch , that makes the relationship seem fake. One day it’s her talking about a song he wrote for her. The next day he’s talking about her as wife material. Ok, we get it.
Can’t they have “radio silence” for a week. They should just tell the press it’s personal.

Thid does not look like an engagement ring but Paris models the Bliss Damiani line, among others.
If there is an engagement, there generally is an announcement. Until then, it’s all just speculation by tabloids.

I’d just rather hear about her album or even the tv show. I just think an occasional “no comment” or “that’s personal” would be nicer and then discuss her projects more. The constant barrage of her personal life is not that interesting to me.
It seems over the top with Benji to the point where it SEEMS fake.

Of course, she deserves to have good things said about her and it’s great that he says them. If it’s discussed in every interview then nothing else will get out. I don’t even know what Benji promoted the other day some song or album (I don’t really care about GC that much) but that’s what happens if you talk too much about your personal life. It happens to her, too.
With all of the interviews I still don’t really know where I can find her shoe line, when Repo is coming out, any progress on the second album and stuff. I’d just rather hear a bit more about that than hearing something about Benji everyday.

Dawn, I’m more mature honestly than most of the other younger guys she’s dated. I don’t have a sick fantasy of her having a 16 year old boyfriend, me, my hopes are that maybe I could meet her and be more than a fan or something, and then when I’m 18, confess my <3 for her and blah blah blah.
So damn what if she’ll be 29 when I’m 18? Lots of couples have larger age diffs than 11 years. Also, I do NOT like the idea of her dating a guy who may be, hypothetically, much older than her, it just seems gross - for example, Rick Salomon was 13 years older than her. It’s not disgusting or anything when it’s an older woman and a younger guy.

Just to note, Dawn, it hurts my feelings when the first thing you always say in response to my comment is LOL.
She’s not engaged, they’ve been dating two damn months. I pray to god though that it’s not real. K.T, if there is someone out there for me, I honestly doubt I’d find them, since I’m socially reclusive.
It sickens me that any guy with money can apparently get to know her, yet a commoner like me gets the concensus of “you’ll never be more than a fan, dipshit.”
