Paris is according to reports having problems with her second pop album – she can’t find a record label willing to release it.
Paris founded Heiress Records, a sub-label of Warner Bros. Records, in 2004 and released her self-titled debut album, Paris, under that label in 2006, and she has now finished recording a second album, but currently has no record deal in place to release the follow-up.
She says, “I’m figuring it out right now. I’m not sure which label I’m doing it with. I wrote all the songs, it’s very dance, like Kylie Minogue.”
Im so confused…I guess that her distribution was only for the one album and they don’t want to stand behind it because it didn’t sell great the first time around.
it did sell well its just the media told everyone it bombed when it didnt stars are blind was also a hit and the same with nothing in this world
ur an amazing singer paris

That’s why we still didn’t heard of a release date!
I’m really looking forward to it!
I loved Paris’s first album. It’s become one of my all time favourite albums. But I don’t like at all the bits of songs I’ve heard from the new album. It just seems like Paris is wanting to tap into the bubblegum pop market now, whereas the first album had wider appeal and was a classier type of pop that could appeal to rock fans too. She seems to be looking to appeal to less people this time round. Maybe the quality of the end product is why she’s having so much trouble getting this one released (I could be wrong though as I’m hardly the best judge of the type of music she’s aiming for with this album – I just know what I like).
I will agree that I find it annoying that the media keeps making out that the first album failed. It didn’t do as well as it deserved (probably because a lot of people made up their minds to hate Paris as a music artist before they even heard her), but it did better business outside of America and did at least sell a healthy amount of copies (and Stars Are Blind did do well as a single, NITW again did nowhere near as well as it deserved for such a brilliant song).
I liked both the first album and the songs released so far from the second. They are very different though. I liked that she branched out.
(I don’t think the first album sold that well and not b/c of the media perceptions. Basic business, if it had sold well, Warner would be jumping to release her second album or another label would have already signed on and began promoting it. I think she does these more as a hobby and b/c she likes to instead of for the sales)
OT – but the new GOOD CHARLOTTE remix album came out last week. Loves it.
No way! I hope she finds one fast!
Can’t wait for it..
Why won’t Warner Bross do it?
Does anyone know where to watch: Episode 9&10??
xox
I think Paris is shopping around for a new label. That’s a far cry from “having problems”.
Some of these tidbits that are written up in tabloids or some websites are often designed to disparage Paris by their negative way of wording.
…its not as easy as one thinks to get what one wants – those recordings – old blue eyes knew how it was – maybe wait, ya, what’s the rush, for sure it will be there, then the holdouts will weep!
Paris’s BFF show had the highest rated MTV Tuesday of 2008 !!
:O!
Paris was pushed over by the paps like afew days ago.. She shouted “OWWWWW!”
I just saw the video, it was with Brit :’(
Then their was like a massive fight with the paps!
