Paris Hilton skips bill

Paris Hilton may be the poster girl for marathon shopping sprees, but the hotel heiress seemed to have somehow misplaced her gold cards in Sydney, where she left a cafe without paying her bill.
The staff at Sloanes Cafe in the trendy Paddington shopping district were left scratching their heads when Hilton walked out without paying a $9.80 drinks tab, the Sydney Morning Herald reported on Monday.

“She’s got bucketloads of money and she didn’t pay for her drinks,” waitress Jo Pfahl told the paper.

Hilton, in Australia to help promote a new beer, stopped at the cafe on Sunday with her friend Kim Kardashian.

While one of Hilton’s publicists had ordered and paid for two burgers, a mineral water and a frappe were also requested and duly provided.

The paper said Hilton barely nibbled her burger and then left to continue shopping without paying for the drinks.

“(Hilton) had a little chat with a waiter up front, then they all got up and walked out without paying,” Pfahl said.

The newspaper reported Hilton had planned to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Sam Branson, son of Virgin brand mogul Sir Richard Branson, on Sydney Harbour.

The Hilton travelling circus returned to Bondi yesterday with the socialite finally doing what she was brought to Australia to do: plug a beer brand.

Hilton, with friend Kim Kardashian in tow, draped herself over occasional boyfriend and shipping heir Stavros Niarchos at the packed $350-a-head party at Icebergs.

It was an affectionate exchange after sources claimed the pair spent their New Year’s Eve celebrations having a very public lovers’ tiff.

The couple fought over dinner at Otto’s restaurant in Woolloomooloo, while Hilton was overheard saying “this is the worst party I’ve ever been to” as she stormed out of another Pyrmont soiree later in the evening.

Hilton cut a lonely figure in the wee hours, walking away on her own from a mini-van which had carried her party of 30 revellers around town.

Yesterday, she and John Singleton’s son Jack, along with surfer Koby Abberton, decided who would be the Australian face of Bondi Blonde beer.

Blondes in white string bikinis and fake tans strutted down a catwalk to stake their claim for the role.

Hilton’s fee - thought to be about $500,000 -has been branded excessive but Singleton said her appearances across Sydney over the past five days have been worth it.

“Whatever Paris is getting, she should be getting double,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

Hilton smiled obligingly yesterday - but barely uttered a word.

Her friend Ms Kardashian, the daughter of former OJ Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian, was far more forthcoming and happy to talk about everything from Saddam Hussein’s execution to underpants.

She said she did not have a problem with young women leaving their undies at home if the occasion called for it.

“I think if there’s an outfit that’s tight enough (it is acceptable),” she said. “As long as you’re not getting in and out of cars.”

The Paris roadshow ends today when she and her small entourage fly out of Australia.

HAHA thats so funny, maybe she didn’t mean too.. like she forgot or something like i’ve done that before.. like i get my bill and say its $35.00 well i would forget to leave the extra $5.00 so i would only put on the table $30.00 and leave! so w/e its not like i mean too.. it happens to alot of people so what Paris forget to count an extra $9.80 whoo wee. no biggie.

Well, if the publicist ordered and paid for the items, Paris probably did not keep track. She has more important things to do.

So why didn’t someone at the joint tell the publicist that he needed to pay more money - that would have been the time to take care of the “problem”, instead of bitching about it later to the papers.

I can’t believe the way the press goes on about an oversight as if a crime were committed. It was a bill of around $10, big deal.

These people in the press are all jealous of Paris & Stavros, note how they always try to sling something at them.

Lol. If Paris was scheduled to spend NYE with Sam Branson, Stavros probably kicked up a fuss about it. Can’t blame him. But if Stavros wants Paris’s total and undivided attention for the rest of his life he needs to MARRY her.
