Indian director T. Rajeevnath is to fly half way around the world to convince Paris Hilton to play Mother Theresa.

The Asian moviemaker plans to make a film about the life of the late humanitarian. He will travel to the US from Asia armed with photos of the American socialite that have been altered to make her look like the saintly nun, who died in 1997.

He said: “The pictures will be my strength when I speak to Paris. She has expressed delight that I have short-listed her to play the role. This will make our meeting easier.”

Rajeevnath’s agents have reportedly got in touch with Hilton’s people, and a time and venue for the Stateside meeting will soon be arranged.

Hilton has appeared in a number of movies, including a big screen adaptation of the classic children’s book ‘The Cat in the Hat’ and horror flick ‘House of Wax’. But so far she is best known for a notorious homemade sex tape of her romping with ex-lover Rick Salomon.

The Albanian-born Mother Theresa will be Hilton’s first lead role. The $11 million film is slated to begin shooting early next year.

Paris is a Catholic, so why not. I’m sure she can do it if she really wants to.
I don’t know why newspapers keep bringing up that stupid *** video, it is so yesterdays news. Meanwhile, Sharon Stone gets all this great press for doing films without underwear. Go figure.

  3. Rko says:

thats cool I’m a christian guy and I approve of this go Paris I’m definatly gonna see the movie.

  4. Nicky says:

I doubt she’ll do it though, she keeps saying how she wants to do comedies like ‘something about Mary’ kinda style. Can you imagine how the press would slate her for playing Mother Theresa. I’m surprised they haven’t gone after Angelina Jolie, with all her humanitarian work, then again she is pregnant

  5. Tonya says:

This could go either way for Paris. Doing a good job in such a movie would really show the naysayers.
OTOH, you just know there will be ridicule.
But, this is an award-winning director and Paris’s facial features do sort of match Mother Theresa.
I guess the guy is serious and the proceeds from the movie will go to Mother Theresa’s charity in Calcutta. Moreover, being a Catholic, Paris can always go to Confession and whatever sins she might have will be forgiven. So, the whole project is not as outlandish as some people might think.

  6. Mikey G says:

This HAS to be an April fool. What next? Jordan playing Marie Curie? Naomi Campbell playing Rosa Parks?

  7. [...] For ****’s sake, this HAS to be an April Fool. Although her humourless fans don’t seem to have twigged, judging by the comments section. “Oh, Paris is a Catholic, so she’d make a GREAT Mother Theresa!” The Reverend Ian Paisley isn’t even a Catholic, but he’d STILL make a more appropriate Mother Theresa than Paris Hilton. Other current rumours include Russell Crowe as Gandhi, 50 Cent as Martin Luther King, Graham Norton as Genghis Khan (etc). [...]

  8. webmasters says:

Well actually there have been articles about this since February, so it can’t be an April fools. Hmm..

  9. Tonya says:

What’s WRONG with some posters, making moral judgements and using profanity?
Paris Hilton is no worse a choice to play M.Theresa than any other Holywood actress. If she wants to do it she should.
The movie director will not find any actress who hasn’t had a relationship with a boyfriend, duh.
It’s not Paris’ fault her stupid ex put that video on the web because he tried to ruin her career.
