Paris Hilton has rubbished the idea “The Simple Life” offers viewers an insight into what she is actually like as the reality show is “fake.”
The hotel heiress and her former best friend Nicole Richie star in the popular program, but Hilton deliberately set out to invent a character not like her true self.
She says, “‘Simple Life’ is a reality show and people might assume it’s real. But it’s fake. All reality shows are fake basically. When you have a camera on you, you are not going to act yourself.
“So before I started the show I thought I’d make a character like the movies. ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Clueless’ mixed together, with a rich girl all-in-one.
“Even my voice is different from me in real life. It’s a character I like to play. I think it’s carefree and happy.
“The public think they know me but they really don’t.”

Paris is right.
In Physics this is called the Heisenberg Principle.
Basically, it means that particles change when you look at them.
That means she is being fake . ARGH

like duh, i realy would like to see a interview ore a show who shows the REAL PARIS.
No can REALLY knnow another person totally, it’s impossible.
And when the camera is on an actor, they play to the camera. So Paris is just being truthful.
I’m sure she is a vey nice person privately.

People, did you really think Paris is gonna be herself on this TV show? obviously not. Even Nicole isn’t like that, they had to act all silly and whatever for good tv, if they acted all normal it would be boring. People only wanna see exciting stuff! How can you be disappointed in her? she’s just being honest, in fact that’s what an actor is, isn’t it, a “persona” or character. So she just got into this “dumb blonde” character for the show. I’ve met her in real life and she doesn’t speak like that, and is such a lovely person, quite shy
