Bring on the stars. MuchMusic announced yesterday that they’ve confirmed a slew of celebrities who will be on hand to present at this year’s 17th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards. Notable names at the top of the list included hotel heiress and TV icon Paris Hilton, plus Tori Spelling, Sam Roberts, Evanescence, Amanda Bynes, and Elisha Cuthbert, just to name a few stars.
MuchMusic also announced that punk rockers Yellowcard will join the list of performers already confirmed, including Fall Out Boy, Nelly Furtado (with Timbaland), and Rihanna, again, just to name a few.
It’s no wonder though that so many stars will be on hand for this year’s awards. On top of this being one of Canada’s coolest celebrity party, it was also announced that this year’s gift bag is worth a cool $20,000. All of the performers, presenters and celebrity guests attending this year’s event will take home everything from Xbox 360s, to Fossil watches, Nokia cell phones, and all kinds of makeup and other goodies.
The MMVAs will air live from MuchMusic headquarters in downtown Toronto on Sunday, June 18th, starting at 7:30pm ET with the Red Carpet Arrivals Special airing LIVE on MuchMusic, Star! and CitytvHD. Following that the big show (broadcast in HD) airs at 9pm ET on MuchMusic, Star!, Citytv Toronto, CitytvHD and 104.5 CHUM FM, at 8pm CT on Citytv Winnipeg, 7pm MT on Citytv Calgary/Edmonton and 8pm PT on Citytv Vancouver.

The New York Daily News ran a nice article today, titled “Paris Hilton’s CD is no Joke”. I’m really happy for Paris.
But dayem, some people just can’t stand to see her succeed.
TMZ ran a stupid article,saying that Paris drives without a seatbelt and boohoo,they counted her doing it seven times. Argh.
Some people are getting so desperate in their envy they’re grasping at straws.
