Hollyscoop spoke to Paris at last night’s event and she gushed about reconciling with Doug. She also spoke about how she recently got a lot of heat from PETA for buying her adorable little pig. Here’s the scoop:
The couple, who split in June after dating for six months, are back on and according to Paris things have never been better!
“Ya, I’m really happy! Things have never been better, so it’s exciting,” Paris told Hollyscoop exclusively at the Fox Reality Channel Really Awards on Tuesday night.
Paris’ on again relationship wasn’t the only thing she was defending on the red carpet. She got a lot of heat from PETA earlier today for purchasing a pig and she has her own message for the organization:
“I’m the best animal lover in the world. There’s nobody who takes care of their pets like me…they are my children,” Paris told Hollyscoop.

I don’t think anyone (PETA included) is disputing Paris’s love of animals or that she takes amazing care of all her pets. I haven’t read what PETA has said yet, but I imagine it has to do with her buying a pig from a breeder. And I would agree with PETA that Paris (or anyone else) should never buy from breeders, however cute the animals may be, breeders are very rarely kind to their animals. If Paris wanted a pig she should have adopted one from a shelter.
Okay, just read what PETA said about it and it had nothing to do with her buying from a breeder, just saying she won’t take care of her pig, which I agree is completely ridiculous. Of course Paris will love Princess Pigelette. I find it really mean and unfounded to attack her for having lots of pets when the issue they should have discussed was breeders.
nah. Pigs aren’t meant to be household pets. Thats why peta is upset. I think Paris has enough animals to worry about and she should focus on them b4 getting a new animal.
Actually, most pigs are EATEN by humans. Where do people think bacon and porkchops come from?
PETA is being irrational, as usual.
Why don’t they attack farmers then? Because they know very well that Americans won’t give up meat.
There also seems to be an element of envy because Paris can afford to pay $4,500 for a pet. But of course PETA won’t admit that LOL.
With stunts like this PETA becomes more and more ridiculous in many people’s minds.
Also, Paris is involved with the Humane Society. They gave her an award.
