Paris and Benji were asked at an event last night if they are engaged. The couple said they are very happy, but didn’t actually confirm or deny if they are engaged. “We have a really great friendship, you know, and romance, all of it,” Benji, 29, told People.com when asked about the engagement rumors. He added: “We’re really happy. We’re lucky. We’re just enjoying it, you know?”
Paris herself only said a few words about their romance: “We’re very in love,” she said, smiling, wearing her trademark sparkler “BM” ring on her ring finger, for Madden’s initials.
Asked if they had gone engagement ring shopping, Madden laughed and said, “Come on, man, you know.”
However, Benji’s brother Joel says he doesn’t rule out the couple unexpectedly tying the knot. “Those two are crazy,” Joel says. “They do the unexpected, so who knows? Obviously, me and Nicole have been together longer, but we have no plans yet, so who knows.”

I like the way Benji always puts his arms around her in a protective way.
Benji is really sweet, the way he loves and values Paris.

OMG this is the 21st century. Men don’t need to “protect” their “woman” so much in that manner. It’s not like somebody’s gonna fuckin grab her and do things I’m not even going to try to write.
I hypothetically wouldn’t be overly-protective. I’d hold her hand and all that other stuff, but I’d walk next to her, and whatnot. With the subject of him walking infront of her, it’s not like someone’s gonna shoot her or something.
And before somebody who hates me says he’s protecting her from people like me, I would NEVER do anything to hurt her. I’d never do anything to make her cry, nothing! I care so much for her, but my dreams are impossible. It’s impossible for a peasant like me to ever be with such an angel.
