Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are stuck together for another season of “The Simple Life” — even if they’re not speaking to each other.

Fox announced Thursday that the network has picked up the options on the contracts for both of the feuding friends for the fourth season of the reality show. Aside from the public rift between Hilton and Richie, Fox sees other fodder for on-screen sparks.

“Given the fact that both Paris and Nicole are engaged and about to be married … there’s got to be something in that world,” said Fox Entertainment President Peter Liguori according to AP Radio.

In April, Hilton issued a terse statement saying it was “no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it.”

The hotel heiress gave no reason for the split. She also lobbied for Richie to be replaced by another friend of hers, Rod Stewart’s 25-year-old daughter, Kimberly.

Liguori said he isn’t sure what direction they’ll be taking the show. In May, Hilton told The AP that the show may be headed to Hawaii because the network wanted to “sex it up.”

Richie, the 23-year-old daughter of singer Lionel Richie, became engaged to club DJ Adam Goldstein in February. Hilton, 24, followed suit in late May with Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis.

An air date for “The Simple Life 4″ has not yet been set.

Paris Hilton’s future mother-in-law has urged her son to dump the hotel heiress because of her saucy past.

Billionaires Mariana Kourkoulo, mother of Paris Latsis, was reportedly left fuming after learning the socialite had posed for steamy glamour shots and once bared in all in a sex tape with former beau Rick Salomon.

Furious Mariana is said to have insisted the smitten pair call off their upcoming nuptials.

A source close to the family told America’s Star magazine : “She was frankly disgusted and had to make her feelings known to her son. She told him he is making the family a laughing stock.

“And she told her son that for the sake of the family’s honour he must never marry Paris. Mariana told him to get rid of her now.”

Sexy Paris recently confessed she wants children with her Greek shipping heir fiancé.

She revealed: “I really want to have Paris’ children.

“I love him more than I have ever loved anyone.”

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton’s fiance shipping heir Paris Latsis has reportedly bought her a new engagement ring after she complained that the first one was too heavy.

Latsis had given Hilton a 3million pound 24 carat diamond ring last month, when he popped the question. But Paris said that it was so big it hurt her finger, so he replaced it with a smaller Cartier ring for everyday use, reports the Sun.

Besides Hilton also told pals she was afraid of having the big ring stolen from her finger.

Hotel heiress NICKY HILTON was so eager to be a teacher when she was growing up, she and her older sister PARIS HILTON would hold after-school classes for their friends.

While Nicky has gone on to launch a career as a fashion designer, she admits that she initially wanted nothing more than to educate a classroom filled with students.

She tells Maxim magazine, “I always wanted to be a teacher. My friends and cousins would come over after class and Paris and I would play school. I was the math teacher; Paris was the English teacher.

“We would make assignments on the copier and give them all homework. I had an intercom, and I would page them to my office.”

Hotel heiress NICKY HILTON is assuring fans that former pals PARIS HILTON and NICOLE RICHIE will end their feud.

Paris Latsis changed his last name from Kasidokostas and took on his mother’s maiden name — reportedly to evoke the fabulous shipping fortune from that side of his family. But some people are wondering whether that was a wise move socially. Latsis’ maternal grandfather, shipping tycoon John Latsis, who died in 2003, was a notorious figure abroad and has been called a Nazi collaborator and a black marketeer.

Latsis was accused of profiteering during World War II and stood trial for collaborating with the Nazis. He was acquitted, but faced further criticism for his close friendship with Colonel Georgios Papadopoulos, leader of the fascist junta which seized power in Greece in 1967. Prince Charles was scolded by the UK press when he accepted a ride aboard John Latsis’ yacht in 1999. “This unpleasant Greek isn’t offering such largesse to Prince Charles out of kindly benevolence,” chided London’s Daily Mail. “He’s doing it because he likes to boast that the future King of England is a friend. . . . But the trip has sickened many of us.”

Actress ZETA GRAFF has filed a $10 million (GBP5.6 million) lawsuit against hotel heiress PARIS HILTON for slandering her in a leading US newspaper.

Graff filed a write last week (ends15JUL05) after Hilton’s publicist commented on a story from the New York Post, which claimed the 36-year-old had attacked the SIMPLE LIFE TV beauty.

Paris Hilton’s dreams of a “royal wedding” in London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral are not going to happen at the historic venue.

The hotel heiress was desperate to marry her fiancé Paris Latsis at a fairy tale ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral and claimed to have written a letter to Prince Charles begging him to allow them to tie the knot there.

She says, “I’ve always wanted to be a princess on my big day.”

But a St. Paul’s source insists only members of the royal family may marry there: “Only royalty can marry on the cathedral floor. You can’t buy your way in, no matter how rich you are.”

Hilton’s spokesman confirms, “Paris won’t be getting married in Britain. She’s currently in Greece and it looks like it will happen over there.”

Carl’s Jr. has only seen 1.7 percent gain despite Hilton’s sexy pitch

It generated a whirlwind of publicity and attention, but so far the controversial Paris Hilton ad for Carl’s Jr. has yet to translate into a significant sales boost for the fast food chain.

According to AdAge.com, the restaurant chain posted a measly 1.7 percent gain in same-store sales from May 20-June 20 — the time period in which the sexy ad was airing.

Sibling chain Hardee’s was only able to post a 0.7 percent gain during that time, although it only ran the ad during the last week of that period, according to the Web site.

The ad for the chain’s Spicy Barbeque burger, which featured heiress Paris in an erotic car-washing scene and closed with her trademark catch phrase “That’s Hot”, was expected to provide quite a lift to the chain, however, results in the sales department were merely lukewarm.
