Celebrity socialite PARIS HILTON is terrified of the paparazzi and stalkers who make it impossible for her to live a normal life.

The HOUSE OF WAX beauty feels so threatened she has been forced to employ four bodyguards to protect her.

She says, “The paparazzi, they’re scary. They pretty much live outside my house: they’re so annoying.

“And stalkers. I come across them all the time.”

And the hotel heiress is frightened that snappers and intrusive fans will damage her relationship with shy fiance and Greek shipping heir PARIS LATSIS.

She says, “My boyfriend hates it all: he’s very low-key and he hates cameras and says the only bad thing about dating me is them.”

Paris Hilton has announced plans to release a second book - but she wants her fans to write it this time around.

The hotel heiress is preparing a sequel to her book CONFESSIONS OF AN HEIRESS, which will include a partially empty journal.

YOUR HEIRESS DIARY: CONFESS IT ALL TO ME, due in November (05), will feature more than 150 photographs of Hilton, along with messages from her guiding the reader on subjects to write about, reports MTV News.

Country star GRETCHEN WILSON believes PARIS HILTON is such a bad role model, she’s launched an attack on the hotel heiress on her latest album.

On CALIFORNIA GIRLS, which appears on Wilson’s ALL JACKED UP disc, the singer makes her feelings about the blonde socialite very clear.

She sings, “That Paris Hilton gets under my skin/ With her big fake smile and her painted-on tan.”

Wilson says of the lyrics, “I personally don’t know why she’s such a big star. What does she do? I just don’t get it.

“I wouldn’t want my daughter to look up to her. Being 80 pounds and blonde, and living in Hollywood? Those aren’t goals.”

After weeks of speculation over Paris Hilton’s engagement to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, a source very close to the Latsis’s family says that the wedding plans are off reports Radar Magazine
“For their son to even think of marrying such a woman is an insult to the entire family. She simply looks like a promiscuous innkeeper’s daughter to them. Paris [Latsis] knew this, which is why he didn’t tell his mother the whole story. He knew she wouldn’t agree to the match.”

And he was right. “When Paris [Hilton] realized what was going on, she was fuming-fuming!-at her supposed fiance for not standing up for her and for the embarrassment she and her family were going through.”

“Paris is trying to save her image, denying the truth, but in reality, Latsis dumped her on orders from his family, specifically his mother,” the source tells Radar Magazine.

Bosses of PARIS HILTON and NICOLE RICHIE’s THE SIMPLE LIFE have reportedly devised a way to shoot the upcoming season of their reality show - by having them play strangers’ wives.

The childhood pals have been locked in a bitter feud for most of the year, prompting questions on how show bosses will be able to get the pair back onscreen together for the fourth season.

But sources say the beauties, both 24, will get around the problem by separately filming their segments of SIMPLE WIFE - which could include an inner-city family and a lesbian couple.

A source explains, “The girls will switch off with a different family each week. Since they are both engaged to be married, we thought it would be fun to have them be wives-in-training.

“Both of them are into it.”

LATEST: PARIS LATSIS’ dad has heightened speculation the Greek shipping heir will not wed PARIS HILTON, by declaring the pair are not as close as they used to be.

Hotel heiress Hilton accepted Latsis’ marriage proposal in the early summer (05), and they soon travelled to Greece to seek out a suitable location for a wedding ceremony.

But since their return to the US, the pair have hardly been seen out together and Hilton has fought off rumours that she’s now romancing music producer SCOTT STORCH, who she recently spent a lot of time with during New York Fashion Week.

And now Latsis’ father GREGORIS KASIDOKOSTAS tells Star magazine, “There does seem to be some problem (between them) I understand that they are not as close as they used to be.

“Both his mother and I agree that our son is far too young to contemplate marriage and children. Our son agreed with us. There was an unanimity on this issue.”

Despite Kasidokostas’ statement, Hilton insists she just recently went wedding dress shopping.

Socialite PARIS HILTON is at the centre of a Maryland police investigation after information leaked to the authorities claims she has allegedly offered teenagers drugs and alcohol.

Baltimore Police officials have confirmed they’re taking the reports very seriously, adding Hilton could face a hefty fine and jail time if she’s found guilty.

The allegations stem from an episode of reality show THE SIMPLE LIFE: INTERNS, when Hilton reportedly offered teens marijuana and bourbon to “loosen them up” for a taped segment.

One of the teens involved has told police, “She loaded myself and two other underage kids on shots of Jack Daniels to loosen us up for the show.”

Baltimore Police Detective CHRIS SCHAEFFER tells US tabloid the National Enquirer, “These are serious allegations. We will certainly be investigating them.”

A spokesman for 20th Century Fox - the company behind The Simple Life - insists the allegations are false: “Paris would never endanger the welfare of a minor.”

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi criticized actor Tom Cruise for being so desperate for celebrity, arguing Cruise ‘court celebrity for the sake of it’.

Jon, 43, declared he respects Tom as an actor, but disagrees him for his behavior after he met his fiancee, Kate Holmes, saying is unacceptable to jump on a couch to declare your love.

Jon also believes Kate is feeding off of his star status, because after she started dating him, she appeared on the cover of magazines.

The rocker told Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Some people just court celebrity for the sake of it. People like Tom Cruise. He was always a great actor, man’s lost it.

“You won’t ever catch me jumping up and down on Oprah going on about how I love this woman. And then others start feeding off it. Suddenly Katie Holmes is on the cover of magazines.”

Jon wade into Paris Hilton too, by saying she has absolutely no talent, but yet she is famous, “famous for being infamous.”

He said: “These people claim they hate the intrusion that fame brings but then they bring it on themselves by having huge entourages wherever they go, attracting attention to themselves. It’s a great fallacy.

“Another one is Paris Hilton. Famous for being infamous. And then the people who should be getting the attention, people like Bob Dylan, aren’t. It’s sad.”

Reality TV star Paris Hilton got pulled over on Beverly Hills’ tony Rodeo Drive because her $155,000 Bentley was missing its front license plate.

The millionaire heiress reportedly told the officer she was fleeing paparazzi in an effort to avoid getting a ticket, the World Entertainment News Network reported Wednesday.

She was pointing at us, saying that it was our fault, photographer Frank Rohmer said. She always drives crazy.

The Beverly Hills cop apparently was unmoved by her excuse and wrote Hilton a ticket for making an improper turn and an equipment violation.
