Australian singer ROB MILLS have been forced to leave his homeland because his career has been overshadowed with his brief liaison with socialite PARIS HILTON. The AUSTRALIAN IDOL contestant, 23, was photographed kissing the heiress in a state of undress on her hotel suite balcony in Sydney in 2003 after they got together at the MATRIX REVOLUTIONS premiere. And while Hilton has moved on with numerous romances since, Mills is still struggling to put the brief fling behind him. His mother BRONWYN MILLS says, “He’s gone overseas for a year, really to get away from the public. “People just refer to him as the guy who had the romance with Paris Hilton - but he just wishes it had never happened.”

Paris Hilton seems to have buried the hatchet with former best friend Nicole Richie.

The two stars, who appeared together in popular reality TV show ‘The Simple Life’, have been feuding for months after Nicole reportedly showed Paris’ infamous sex tape, ‘One Night In Paris’, to friends at a party.

Nicole, the adopted daughter of pop singer Lionel Richie, recently denied the claims but the pair have not spoken for months.

It seems Paris has now had a change of heart towards her one-time pal, and has wished Nicole, who recently confessed to suffering from an eating disorder, all the happiness in the future.

She said: “I hope that Nicole is happy and healthy and having a good life.”

But despite her kind words, Paris has praised her new best friend, Rod Stewart’s daughter Kimberly, and admits she even has a slight crush on her.

She told Britain’s Top of the Pops magazine: “Kimberly is hysterical. She’s six feet tall, blonde, beautiful and has luscious blue eyes. She’s hot. I feel so comfortable with her and I can just act like myself.”

Archrivals Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton managed to stay apart at Madonna’s Las Vegas concert on Sunday.

The former pals fell out last year, when Hilton started dating their mutual pal Mary-Kate Olsen’s boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos III.

In recent weeks, Lohan has been romantically linked to Niarchos, who split from the hotel heiress earlier this month.

At the Material Girl’s MGM Grand Garden Arena gig over the weekend, Hilton sat in row G, while Lohan was just 10 feet away in row H.

Socialite Paris Hilton had to overcome crippling shyness to launch her new career as a singer. The Simple Life star is preparing to release an eclectic album of songs, including seven she wrote herself, which she claims is a mixture of hip-hop, reggae and pop. But she insists she had barriers she had to pass before she could even step into the recording studio. Hilton says, “I have always had a voice and always known I could sing, but I was too shy to let it come out. I think that is the hardest thing you can do, to sing in front of people. When I finally let go and did it, I realised it is what I am most talented at and what I love to do the most.”

Paris Hilton’s debut album will be a mixture of reggae pop and hip-hop, the socialite has revealed. Hilton’s first single will be a reggae track called ‘Stars Are Blind’ and the album will also include a cover version of Rod Stewart’s ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?’. But she claims she has personally written the lyrics for seven songs that will appear on the LP. She says, “The whole album has so much different music on it. I like all music. It’s not like I only like pop or only rock. I want to have something for everybody.”

Paris Hilton has abandoned her fur-wearing ways after Sir Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills made her watch horrific footage of animal cruelty. The hotel heiress was previously pelted with flour by members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after sporting real fur at this year’s (FEB06) London Fashion Week. But it was animal rights campaigner Mills who managed to persuade Hilton to turn her back on wearing animal skins for good. She says, “I am not going to be wearing fur anymore. “I met up with (Mills) and she showed me videos of how badly the animals are treated. It is just disgusting. I am an animal lover.”

Paris Hilton boycotted the Cannes premiere of her new movie after a row with the producers. The socialite was furious after discovering National Lampoons ‘Pledge This!’ film-makers had added nudity to the movie without checking with her first. She says, “I’m angry that they edited the final cut without my permission. “I took the part on the assurance I wouldn’t do any nudity. I wanted to do something where I’d be taken seriously, and they added a load of scenes with naked girls. “I was so angry I snubbed my own premiere.”

Something about this doesn’t sound right. I don’t think Paris would say “I snubbed my own premiere”..who uses that word? lol. So maybe this isn’t true.

The feud between Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie has apparently caused further disruption to The Simple Life.

Richie is said to have told producers that she would withdraw her scenes from the show unless Hilton returned to the US for wrap filming. Nicole was apparently furious after learning that her former friend has been skinny dipping at Cannes while deadlines for the reality series are fast approaching.

Friends of the pair claim that Nicole is feeling emotional after breaking up with fiance Adam Goldstein.

“Some mutual friends of Paris and Nicole - who have dared to keep in touch with both of them - were raving about the Nikki Beach party,” a source told the Daily Star.

“Paris led a late-night skinny dipping session that’s been the talk of Hollywood and has raised her stakes in the gossip scale - while Nicole’s broken up with the man she was about to marry. So she just blew up.”
