With the June 5 deadline for Paris Hilton to turn herself in to jail looming, her younger sister Nicky is speaking out.
“I think she should definitely be punished, but going to jail for a traffic violation is pretty absurd,” Hilton, 23, told People Magazine Thursday at the BlackBerry Curve launch party in Los Angeles, which she attended with Paris.
Though a source told PEOPLE Paris is dreading jail time, the 26-year-old heiress wasn’t showing it. Wearing a flirty pink dress, Paris was giddy and giggly as she chatted with her sister and a female pal. (She declined to speak to People Magazine, saying: “I’m not doing interviews.”)
A longtime Paris friend says the laughter is her way of coping. “She’s the eternal optimist,” the pal – who spoke with Paris at the party – told People Magazine. “She’s been through so much, but that’s always her disposition.
After serving time, Hilton can look forward to a party – in St Tropez. She’s the face of a canned sparkling wine called Rich Prosecco and, according to the company, will appear at their summer party. When’s the party? Depends on when she gets out.
“We have to wait and see what happens on June 5,” Gunther Aloys, the Austria-based head of Rich Prosecco, tells People Magazine. “Her family is very anxious about what will happen. When it [the jail sentence] is over, she was planning to go on vacation at the end of June. We expect to have a party day then with her in St. Tropez.”
The heiress – who came to Zurich in April for the brand – will also have a photo shoot on the Matterhorn in July or August, plus a market launch in England this summer. Her three-to-five year contract with the brand also includes a share of the business, though Aloys wouldn’t specify how much.

What really worried me is afterwards. Those judges will not hesitate in sending her to a federal prison if she makes a mistkae next. They will.

I didn’t know Paris or heard her name until the day she went to court and was sentenced to jail. The media coverage was enormous and keep s on rolling to this day. If I were Paris I’d go to jail through the main door with my family and friends and take as long as I’d like to or could. Then yes I’d surrender. And if I were her mother and sister I’d certianly grill the judge and the prosecutors. Sending someone like Paris to jail should be a warning that America is turning very bad. My daughters wanted to do a year at USC in Los Angeles and perhps do the MBA at one of your universities and in face of this no way. hey don’t want to go, and likewise their friends.
And me - I’m having nothing to do with America. If tyhey put PAris in jail for driving with 0.08 (identical tyo the limit, not more) and without a licences (big deal….) then your prosecutors could also claim that my money is of dubious provenance and you’d freeze it. No, you as a nation have what you deserve. Time is nearly run out. When I looked these pictures that show such beautiful angel, I feel so sad that my eyes are full of water. I can’t imagine how she will be treated behind the bar and what will wait for her in the coming dozens of days. Not only she, but also I am scared of her fate. I often have nightmare about her fate.
God, please stop any torture on her! This is unfair sentence! She has really regretted what she did. Please give her another chance! I would like do anything to exchange her jail time!

a bit on the defensive there are’nt you dea. it must suck to have herpes….I remember learning in highschool health class how burning, itchy, scratchy and uncomfortable Herpes are around your privates–plus it is an STD than NEVER goes away and it hurts to even take a piss. A bit more than a “cold sore” i would think, keep telling your herpes infected self that to make yourself feel better…You and big nose paris can share Valtrex.
PS lazy eye does too have herpes, so STFU. They found several prescriptins for VALTREX in her name in her storage locker. It is even in court records for some lawsuit brought against her that she has herpes, and Stavros Niachoros found out about it, and she got pissed.
