Paris Hilton’s latest film is so bad she has reportedly refused to promote it.
The socialite-turned-actress said she couldnâ’t turn up for the premiere of ‘Pledge This!’ in Chicago on October 11 because she was “too busyâ€.
Bosses quickly cancelled the event and rescheduled it for later in the month as they are desperate for the film’s biggest star to attend the premiere to give the project some much-needed publicity.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Paris called at the last minute and cancelled, claiming she had to promote her album.
“The producers didn’t want to have the premiere without her because she’s the biggest star in the movie so they rescheduled.â€
The source added: “The movie is horrific. It is a limited release that is likely to go straight to rental. Paris doesn’t really want to be associated with it.
“Her movie career is not exactly booming and she doesn’t want to be seen as a flop.â€
Paris’ movie debut in horror film ‘House of Wax’ was universally panned by critics and the film itself was deemed a flop.
Oh well,Paris is trying out different things and critics are just too hard on her. Plus, even really big movie stars have many flops they’d like to forget.
We recently rented “The Breakup” with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Anniston.The movie actually got good reviews but I thought it was lousy. Just my humble opinion.

Well, there’s always “the hottie and the nottie”, the other film she’s doing. House of Wax actually debiuted at number 2, so it didn’t do that bad.

Two - basically what it says is that “Pledge This”, the movie Paris is in, is so bad that she’s not even attending the premiere because she doesn’t want to connected with it.
I thought House of Wax was good. Anyone seen her other new movie Bottoms Up? It went staight to Video also. It was a very low budget movie. The other ones I have seen of hers, Nine Loves & The Hillz were also just Ok. I think that she is a great actress, singer, role model - so hopefully she will get a really great part in a movie.
