Inmates Already Angry At Paris Hilton

Many women at the Los Angeles County jail where Paris Hilton is expected to arrive any day are already angry at the socialite, a former inmate said.

Susannah Johnson, who was released Saturday after a one-day stay at the jail, said inmates were angry at Hilton, believing officials were making room for the starlet at the expense of other inmates already coping with crowded conditions in the 2,200-bed jail.

“The only advice I could give her when she comes is to shut her mouth and do the time,” said Johnson, 35, of Claremont.

Hilton has been ordered to turn herself in by Tuesday to begin her sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. Some 15 photographers, reporters and television crews staked out positions at three entrances to the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.

Authorities had also cordoned off a grassy area outside the jail for members of the media. As of Saturday evening, however, the hotel heiress had yet to appear. By then, most of the media had packed up their folding chairs and tripods. A handful of remaining reporters bundled up against the cooling temperatures.

the perfect reason to cut her stay short to just a few days. The sheriff and the warden can allways say, due to security resaons, and overcrowding … If Martinez stayed for 2 hours why shouldn’t Paris stay for 2 days?!
The precedent is already there and the “crime” was the same … I bet that’s waht’s going to happen … and the situation merits to be exploited …

I totally agree. Why should Paris, whose blood alcohol level was the minimum for a arrest, have to go to jail, while Mel Gibson, whose blood alchol level was higher, didn’t have to go to jail.

I really hope Paris doesn’t actually end up serving 23 days. I’ve seen other attorneys (not connected to Paris or the Hilton family) commenting on this and they’ve said how they’ve had people in similar circumstances get out after serving just a DAY b/c of the overcrowding. It’s exactly why that Michelle Rodriguez from “Lost” was able to get out after ONE day even though she had a SIXTY day sentence. It was NOT special celebrity treatment. It’s how they typically handle these kinda cases b/c of the overcrowding. It would be completely wrong for Paris to be punished more harshly than what normally happens.

I will be livid if she ends up serving ANYTHING longer than 3 days and I even think 3 days is a bit much. Her BAC for the DUI was the bare minimum and she did NOT violate her probation by getting ANOTHER DUI, nor did she cause an accident, injury or harm to others, etc.

I like Paris but I dont have sympathy for her and don’t compare Paris to Mel Gibson. Paris VIOLATED PROBATION! Mel Gibson did not. It’s two different stories entirely!

  5. ehehe says:

Not one single European country would ever send her (or anyone her age and ***) to prison or jail for doing what she did. NOT ONE SIGNLE COUNTRY. Fromt he UK down to Greece. NOT ONE. Your justice system is a right wing working class neo-chritian funadamentalist ignorant type of thing very much along the lines of this ******* president of yours. Aside form this our jails are not like yours and police brutality is seriously investigated and the officers are fuly sentced to more than 15 years for pushing, insulting, beating. LEVA AMERIKA PARIS. SETTLE IN MONACO. 100% TAX FREE AND DROP THAT **** NATIONALITY THAT YOU NOW HAVE. Tax lawyers can set you up in such a way that you don’t have to pay **** to that disgusting kountry. LEAVE PARIS! You can’t win. Next time they will kill you like they did with a few other women, namely Marylyn Monroe. LEAVE PLEASE PARIS.

She has begun her jail time now!

I have just sent an email to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to ask him her.

I really want to help her avoid torture.

Another actress, who has same DUI offence, only serves several hours in prison rather than 60 days. I hope she can leave jail soon. I hope today she can get out!

God, please help her leave jail soon.

    ehehe, you are an idiot.
Of course they put young women in prison in the UK.
If you break the law you go to prison – thatshow it is.
If we promoted a justice system that allowed the elite to escape punishment because of who they thought they were, we would develop a ‘race’ of those abouve and eyond the reach of the law – and that would be disasterous.

Paris broke the law,she will now deal with the punishment.

If she had hit someone, or something driving whilst banned, her insurance would not have covered anything. That in itself is reckless.

She probably wont serve the 23 days, but she will serve some time – to make a case and point to the young socialites out there who think they are above the law of their country.

And I know you are now sitting there saying “well what does she know?” – well I am a solicitor and a judge – so I know only too well.

“well I am a solicitor and a judge – so I know only too well”.

You couldn’t read the exam book for an “O” level let alone write it …
I bet you are a graduate from a Los Angeles City College … and there again perhaps not even that …
I’m not used to trow pearls to pigs, but I accepted to make just this one exception amerikan piece of ****

  10. Christine says:

OMG…CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ON FROM THIS PARIS THING ALREADY…IT’S OLD NEWS…IT’S TIRED NOW!!!! PARIS IS OLD NEWS…EVERYONE IS FOCUSING ON BLOHAN NOW, LOL

  11. Dea says:

    Paris Hilton IS NEWS!

And I agree, the laws in the US are too harsh – you can thank the Religious Right for that.

Bush should be tried as a war criminal!
Religious fanatics do not see the irony of Bush being responsible for people dying but getting off free, and Paris Hilton going to jail over a minor traffic violation.
    It’s insane.

  12. Char says:

We aren’t insane. Gosh you are all idiots, Paris had done wrong so she deserves a punishment. Every other normal person in the world would have to face the same thing, so it shouldn’t be any different for Paris Hilton. She’s going to jail no matter what you say so just deal with it.
