Paris Hilton says in an interview from jail she’s a changed woman who now appreciates “things I took for granted” and plans to use her fame “in a good way.”
“I’m so much more grateful for everything that I have, even just to have a pillow at night or food,” Hilton told E! News’s Ryan Seacrest in a phone conversation from Century Regional Correctional Facility.
Hilton, who is scheduled to be released next week, says she plans to use her celebrity for good – and doesn’t want to be the object of ridicule anymore.
“You know my gratitude has gone up so much and I just realize that the media used me to make fun of and be mean about it,” she tells Seacrest in the interview for Thursday’s show. “Frankly [I'm] sick of it and I want to use my fame in a good way.”
Of her life behind bars, Hilton, who was jailed for violating probation for driving with a suspended license, says it’s been difficult being kept from her family. “I am behind glass and I want to give my dad a big hug and they won’t even let me do that.”
She also insists that she is not receiving any special treatment in jail. “That’s how the rules are, you have to be behind glass,” she said. “I’m not a criminal, I’m not dangerous, so it makes me feel like that. It’s hard but I’m stronger everyday.”
As for the future, Hilton says: “I just can’t wait to see my family and have a nice meal and be in my own bed and appreciate all the things I took for granted and never really thought much about.”

That’s how I got her address, I called the jail and got the official one.
Paris can probably throw a big 4th of July bash in Vegas and donate part of the proceeds to Charity.
But imhho, she ought to keep whatever she makes from the interview and pay off her lawyers.
I bet her legal bills are tremendous.
Can’t wait to see Paris out of jail and learn more of what she has to say. She is a lovely girl and deserves the best of everything.

Well Paris is a sweetheart we know that. If she wasn’t she would not act the way she does. From mistakes we all learn but I think that with her they just overkill it. If it was for someone else people would not be so mean. They act like that because they are jealous because of who she is. Everybody make mistakes. How about criminals who are out there free because don’t aks me I don’t know the answer. Ask a lawyer. They know better. Why pedophiles are set free after a period of time. They are sick people and they will do it again. Paris is the worst? Why? So many of us do bad things every day why don’t they treat us like that? Because nobody knows us. Well that’s too bad they should expose everybody who do bad things so they will accept the same humiliation such as Paris did. It’s a same. Give the girl some credit. She is still young.

welcome HOME PARIS
Dear Paris,
You should be proud of serving your sentence. I hope you learned from your mistakes and hire a driver. Maybe you can get Lindsay Lohan to follow your example. You’re too smart to head down the road of self destruction from alcohol and drugs. Tom Cruise is an ******* and you should look into anti-depressants and anxiety medication. Please talk to your friend Nicole Richie who also deserves much more in life.
