Paris Hilton has abandoned her fur-wearing ways after Sir Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills made her watch horrific footage of animal cruelty. The hotel heiress was previously pelted with flour by members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after sporting real fur at this year’s (FEB06) London Fashion Week. But it was animal rights campaigner Mills who managed to persuade Hilton to turn her back on wearing animal skins for good. She says, “I am not going to be wearing fur anymore. “I met up with (Mills) and she showed me videos of how badly the animals are treated. It is just disgusting. I am an animal lover.”
I think Paris is starting to mature and understand what are the best practices in order to promote the role model attitude. Congratulations Paris!!

Between a singing career, making a comedy movie every so often, and all her other business ops, she’ll do great!
Last Friday,Extra! showed Paris and her sis at the launch for Brandon Davis’ REPLAY jeans. They sell for $398 and part of the money will go to Nancy Davis (Brandon’s mom) MS charity.
His mom is so cool and she just wrote a book “Lean on Me” about her bout with Multiple Sclerosis. Her charity event often takes in $ 2-3 Million dollars in one night to help with research.
And I think it was really great that the Hilton sisters helped out.
Ya I love that she wants to help animals! Which pets does she have now? Is it just Bambi, Tinkerbell and the two from Tokyo, The cat Dolce her farret and her mokey Baby Luv?
Don’t take this the wrong way ‘cos I love Paris but surely she knows how badly animals are treated/killed for fur BEFORE having watched the video? I think she is just starting to want to be a better person in the public eye and taken more seriously. Either way, it’s good if she sticks to this and only wears faux fur
Boy, I don’t know. Most people really have NO idea how badly animals are treated.
I volunteered at an animal shelter one summer and even there, we saw some badly mistreated animals come in. It was such an eye opener. You just don’t believe it until you see it.
Oh,and I just wanted to say I’m glad Paris is doing this. Abused animals can always use another spokesperson. I think Paris is sincere her love for animals.
I agree with you 100% Tonya, animals need more people like that to have a voice for them, especially someone who is in the limelight so much and such a rolemodel to youngsters (and adults)

She is hot and smart and i’m pretty sure she already
knew what they did to animals to get that fur. Anyway, I’m glad she is against what they are doing to the animals. I’m an animal lover too.
