Welsh pop star CHARLOTTE CHURCH has mocked PARIS HILTON’s move into music, insisting her forthcoming single smacks of “NASA technology”. The classically-trained singer is unimpressed with the blonde socialite’s foray into pop, branding debut track SCREWED “bloody awful”. She says, “When I heard her song I thought, ‘Wow, isn’t it amazing what NASA technology can do with someone’s voice. “Paris is bloody awful. Honestly I heard a bit of it on the radio and it’s terrible. “Everyone to their own but it’s not like she needs the money.”

Charlotte Church is a trained opera singer. She’s pretty good when she sings classical pieces but she can’t carry a full opera and she knows it. So she switched to pop tunes which are ****,so she’s hardly in a position to talk.
Paris Hilton is a pop icon who doesn’t pretend to more than that. Her voice is pleasing and so is her music. She wrote 7 of the songs herself,and her legions of fans love her. That’s good enough – it’s all just Entertainment.

Charlotte Church is only jealous because she’s fat, ugly and yesterday’s news. She used to be a pretty good opera singer when she was like 15 but now she’s fading and she just wants publicity. I like Paris’s voice and besides, even if she doesn’t go to #1, who cares, she’s trying her best and her fans love her that’s all that matters. Charlotte, stop using Paris to get publicity for your failed career, and please do us a favour and go on weight-watchers

I agree with Nicky. I think Charlotte Church is having a terrible time transitioning from her “voice of an angel” status to being an adult in the business. Perhaps she should go to university and find another line of work because it is kind of awful to watch her fall apart.
Also, Madonna has been slammed for her voice for years, but people still buy her stuff and pay enormous amounts to see her live. I think it is about charisma. Madonna has it and heaven knows Paris has it in spades.
