LATEST: Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has reportedly ditched Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos because he wanted to spend all summer partying, while she plans to promote her upcoming album.
The US socialite allegedly broke off the relationship just before leaving for Austria on Thursday, where she made a brief promotional appearance at a music festival for a reported fee of $1 million. A source tells American publication US Weekly, “Paris dumped him. He wanted Paris to spend the summer on his yacht, but she doesn’t want to party with kids on a boat. She’s going to promote her album.”
Hilton was back in the US on Monday, where she met football player Matt Leinart for lunch, sparking rumours that the two were dating. The source adds, “There’s an attraction, but they haven’t hooked up.”

Stavros is an immature jerk, while Paris has a work ethic and is looking for someone serious to spend her life with.
I guess she’ll have to keep dating until she finds the right guy.

I think Paris is just friends with this guy and Nick Lachey. They’re in Vegas tonight, celebrating Matt’s joining the Cardinals, and invited Paris along.
It appears that Paris broke it off w/Stavros partly beause the “billionair” is a cheapskate who rarely reciprocates. He never offered to pay for anything,lives in a tiny loft and drives a 4year old pickup. Then he started tooling around in Paris’s car.
And one of his friends damaged the private plane they flew back from Vegas in by kicking out the door. The bill for it was twenty-thousand dollars, and Stav did not offer to pay, so Paris wound up doing it.
I guess Paris doesn’t mind making an effort for a man she loves but she got tired of picking up the tabs. (See the exclusive in Star Magazine.com)
Like I suspected, Niarchos is Euro-trash and Paris is too smart a Hilton to let herself be used.
So it seems, Stav is now giving his,ahem,services to Ms.Lohan for the time being - until she gets tired of being mooched off.

These Greek families have a weird financial set-up, although the family has money.
Stav either has little access to it, or he is indeed just cheap, or he lacks social graces.

I never liked him from the start, he was scruffy-looking and a trouble-maker. I don’t blame Paris for falling for him but people don’t change and if he left MK in a bad way he did the same to Paris and he’ll do the same to Lohan. He is just a cheap-skate player, through and through. Him and K-Fed must share notes! It’s not very nice of Lindsay though, who used to be Paris’s friend. Maybe Paris should date Brandon Davis - was I the only one who thought they looked cute together in the pics at his jeans launch? Didn’t he go out with Mischa Barton? Now there’s a love triangle!!! She should so get back at that nasty bunch of girls (Nicole, Lohan, Mischa) by going out with him!

Her single is due this month, the album comes out in June. So, of course, Paris needs to make promotional appearances.She really has no time spending the summer getting drunk on a yacht.
Paris plays hard but she also works hard - Stavro wasn’t being very loving and supportive if he can’t understand that.
All the Hiltons WORK at something, that’s what Americans do. So,again, the cultural differences are showing.

Darla, why do you have to sound so racist? calling him euro-trash is not only offending him but other europeans. And saying “thats what americans do” (about working). That’s what the whole WORLD does, not just America!! Stavros is a student! that’s why he doesn’t work.

Paris flies to Austria. That night, Niarchos is spotted with Lohan outside a private party in Beverly Hills.
Sunday, April 30
While Hilton parties at Austrian nightclub Pascia, Niarchos visits Lohan at the Chateau Marmont, where she’s staying during her Just My Luck press tour.
Monday, May 1
Paris flies back to L.A. and hangs out with Leinart. The two then hit L.A.’s Shag, where Niarchos spots them.
Tuesday, May 2
At 3:30 a.m., Niarchos and Hilton get into a screaming match at her gate. She doesn’t want to let him in. He won’t leave – and winds up sprawled on the ground. (He finally hops in a cab at 9 a.m.) Hilton’s rep confirms the split later that day.

Webmaster I agree, Darla you’ve got some very good points about Paris spending her cash as she pleases and finding a guy her own age etc but it is offensive saying things like Euro-trash and implying Americans are the only ones who work hard. Anyway ‘cultural differences’ aside, I hope Paris can find happiness. Shame she just spent all that money on his birthday party. I am really not liking the Lindsay-Nicole-Mischa crowd right now. Sorry to say it but at least Paris doesn’t have to starve herself to look good!
